Salesforce orgs build up duplicate accounts, broken account hierarchies and stale opportunities over time. Connecting your org lets Quill’s agents find those problems and fix them, with evidence behind every change.
Before you start#
- You need to be a Quill admin to add the Salesforce connection in Quill.
- A Salesforce admin needs to install the Quill app in your org before anyone can connect. Quill shows the install link while you connect (see below).
- You’ll need your Salesforce address, such as acme.lightning.force.com. Copy it from your browser’s address bar while you’re in Salesforce. To connect a sandbox, use your sandbox’s address.
Connect Salesforce#
- In Quill, click Connections in the sidebar.
- On the Integrations tab, click Salesforce.
- Enter a name for the connection and your Salesforce address.
- If the Quill app isn’t installed yet, a Salesforce admin opens the install link Quill shows, clicks Install for All Users, then Upgrade, and waits for the install to finish.
- Click Connect, sign in to Salesforce and click Allow.
- You’re returned to Quill, and Salesforce shows on the Connected tab. Quill starts analyzing your data after the first sync.
What Quill reads and changes#
Quill reads your Salesforce records, such as accounts, contacts and opportunities, and updates them to keep your CRM data accurate.
Disconnect Salesforce#
In Quill, go to Connections, open the Connected tab, click the ⋯ (three dots) menu next to Salesforce and choose Disconnect. Quill’s agents stop reading and updating Salesforce. A Salesforce admin can also uninstall the Quill app from Salesforce setup.
