Clean data for your CRM migration or merger
Quill's AI agents remove duplicates, fix broken records, and match customers across systems when you move to a new CRM or merge two, so your new CRM starts clean.
Migrate or merge across
A migration moves your data problems into the new CRM
When you move to a new CRM, everything moves with you, including the duplicates, the empty fields, and the accounts owned by people who left. Combining two CRMs is harder. The same customer is in both systems under different names and owners, and the duplicate tools built into your CRM can only check one system at a time.

Most teams clean data by hand for weeks. The new CRM still goes live with the old problems.
Quill's AI agents clean your data before the move, match the same customers across systems, and check that everything arrived correctly. Nothing changes in your CRM until you approve it.

The data gets messy again after go-live
The cleanup stops on launch day, and the habits that made the old CRM messy start again in the new one.
Built for CRM migrations, mergers, and consolidations
Quill fits whether you're replacing a legacy CRM, switching platforms, or combining CRMs after an acquisition.
Replacing a legacy CRM
Leave Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle Siebel, SAP CRM, NetSuite, or a homegrown system, and bring only the records worth keeping.
Switching CRMs
Move between Salesforce, HubSpot, and Attio. We clean the data first, so there is less to move.
Merging CRMs after an acquisition
Combine two or more CRMs after an acquisition or a rollup. Every customer you share ends up as one record.
Consolidating Salesforce orgs or HubSpot portals
Bring several Salesforce orgs or HubSpot portals into one, with the same customer matched across all of them.
Clean data before, during, and after the move
We clean the data before the move, match records during it, and keep the new CRM clean after go-live.
Clean up the old data
We check every system you are moving from and show you what is wrong. Agents remove the duplicates, dead records, and unused fields.
Match across systems
Agents find the same customer in each CRM and work out which details are right. You approve the merges, and the clean records go into the new CRM.
Check it and keep it clean
Agents check that every record, owner, and link arrived correctly, and they keep the new CRM clean from then on.
You approve every merge before it is written
Every change an agent suggests comes with the reason for it. Most teams approve everything by hand at first, then let agents make the obvious merges on their own. Every change is logged and can be undone.
Deduplicate accounts across two CRMs
DuplicateSame company in both CRMs. Salesforce has the paying customer, so that record stays.

FAQ
Should we clean our CRM data before or after migrating?
Before, and then again after. Cleaning before the move means you map fewer fields, move fewer records, and don't rebuild automation around bad data. A check after the move catches what the move itself broke, such as lost relationships, unassigned owners, and duplicates created while both systems were running. Quill does both.
What should we check after a CRM cutover?
Cutover is the day you switch to the new CRM. Right after it, check that record counts match, every record has an active owner, parent and child accounts are still linked, deals still have their contacts, and no new duplicates appeared. Quill's agents run these checks after go-live and keep running them, so problems surface in the first few days.
How do you avoid duplicate companies when migrating from Salesforce to HubSpot?
HubSpot matches companies on their domain, and it can create a company automatically from each new contact's email domain, so messy Salesforce websites turn into duplicate companies. Before the move, merge duplicate accounts in Salesforce, clean and standardize every account's website, and turn off automatic company creation in HubSpot while you migrate. Import companies before contacts and deals, then review any company without a domain, because HubSpot can't match those. Quill's agents match accounts before the load and flag look-alikes for a person to review.
How do you clean HubSpot data before moving to Salesforce?
Deduplicate companies and contacts in HubSpot first, then decide how HubSpot's lifecycle stages map to Salesforce leads, contacts, and opportunities, and map every deal stage and picklist value. Store each HubSpot record ID in an external ID field in Salesforce so related records load onto the right accounts and you can reconcile counts afterward. Leave behind what nobody will use, such as long-dead leads and bounced contacts. Quill does the matching and cleanup and checks the result after cutover.
How do you clean data before migrating from Microsoft Dynamics 365 to Salesforce?
Start by measuring duplicates, empty fields, and records owned by people who have left in Dynamics, and fix them there, where the data is still in context. Map Dynamics tables and option sets to Salesforce objects and picklists, and map Dynamics users and teams to Salesforce owners. Keep each Dynamics record's ID in an external ID field in Salesforce so relationships survive the load. Quill's agents profile and clean the Dynamics data, match it against anything already in Salesforce, and keep the new org clean after go-live.
How do you migrate to Attio without creating duplicates?
Clean the source CRM first, then import companies before people, using domain as the matching key for companies and email for people. Pause email and calendar syncing in Attio during the migration, because synced inboxes can create new people and companies while the import is running. Afterward, review records that had no domain or email, since they could not be matched. Quill works with Attio as a source or destination and checks for duplicates before and after the move.
Should we migrate all of our old CRM data?
Usually not. Move active accounts and contacts, open deals, and the activity history reps need on accounts they still work. Archive long-closed deals, leads with no activity in years, and bounced contacts somewhere you can still reach them, instead of loading them into the new CRM. Agree on the cutoff before mapping starts, since every record you move has to be cleaned and matched.
How do you merge two CRMs after an acquisition?
Start by choosing which CRM you will keep and how you want the data organized in it. Then match the records that exist in both CRMs, decide which record to keep for each match, settle the fields that disagree, and move what is left. The matching is the hard part, because the same customer rarely has the same name, domain, or owner in both systems. Quill's agents do the matching and show you the evidence for each merge. If you are a private equity platform merging one add-on after another, see our page on CRM integration for private equity roll-ups.
How do you find duplicates across two Salesforce orgs or HubSpot portals?
The duplicate management built into your CRM only looks inside a single org or portal. Quill connects to both. Its agents compare names, domains, addresses, contacts, and activity the way a person would, and they look the company up on the web when the CRM data is not enough.
Can Quill help with a migration from Microsoft Dynamics, Siebel, SAP, or Oracle?
Yes. Quill works with data from any CRM, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle Siebel, SAP CRM, NetSuite, SugarCRM, Monday CRM, Copper, Close, and homegrown systems. Our agents clean the legacy data before the move, match it against your new CRM, and keep the new system clean afterward.
Does Quill migrate the data for us?
Yes. Quill handles the data side of the whole migration: checking the old system, cleaning it, matching records across systems, loading the clean records into the new CRM, and checking the result. If you already have an implementation partner or a migration tool moving the rows, Quill works alongside it and makes sure what goes in is clean.
When should we bring Quill in?
As early as you can, ideally before field mapping starts. Our first check shows how much of your data is worth moving, which often makes the migration smaller. If you have already migrated and the new CRM is a mess, Quill can clean it up in place.
What happens to our data?
Quill is built for security-conscious companies and regulated industries. We never train foundation models on your data, and are HIPAA and SOC 2 compliant. Details are on our security page.
