Deals move forward in Slack as much as on calls. Quill turns conversations in the channels you choose into suggested CRM updates, and posts approval requests where your team already works.
Before you start#
- You need to be a Quill admin, since Slack connects once for your whole Quill organization.
- You need to be able to add apps to your Slack workspace.
- Your CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, or Attio) needs to be connected to Quill.
Connect Slack#
- In Quill, click Connections in the sidebar.
- On the Integrations tab, click Slack.
- Enter a name for the connection, such as your Slack workspace’s name, then click Connect.
- Sign in to Slack, review the requested access and click Allow.
- Back in Quill, Slack shows on the Connected tab. An admin then chooses which channels Quill reads.
What Quill reads and posts#
Quill reads messages in the channels you choose, which it uses to suggest CRM updates for your team to review, and it doesn’t read direct messages between people. Quill posts in Slack to ask for approvals and share the updates you set up.
Disconnect Slack#
In Quill, go to Connections, open the Connected tab, click the ⋯ (three dots) menu next to Slack and choose Disconnect. Quill stops reading channels and posting in Slack. A Slack workspace admin can also remove the Quill app from Slack’s app management settings.
