Quill RevOps MCP
Give your AI agents CRM access safely
Your team is already unleashing Claude and other agents on your CRM. Decide what they're allowed to do. Quill RevOps MCP sits between AI assistants and Salesforce or HubSpot. Every create and update passes through your RevOps rules before anything is written.
The problem
AI adoption is a data quality event
Sales teams are wiring AI assistants into the CRM right now - and write access is nothing like read access. An agent will happily create the fourth "Acme Corp" account, close an opportunity with no signed paperwork, leave the competitor in a note but never the dropdown, and put "SF Bay Area" into a picklist that only accepts "West" - politely, confidently, and far faster than a human could. The data quality issues that used to accumulate over quarters now accumulate over days.
The answer is to empower your teams to use AI agents but let them in through a door that you can monitor and control.
How it works
One connector, sitting between the agent and the record
You hand your sales org a single MCP endpoint instead of a raw CRM connector. Their AI assistant sees a clean set of tools - look up an account, log a call, advance an opportunity. Behind those tools, Quill evaluates your rules on every call and decides whether to allow, block, gate, or correct it.
Crucially, Quill answers back in the agent's language. A blocked write isn't a silent failure - it's an explanation the model can act on, so the agent fixes the problem itself and the rep never files a ticket.
What it looks like in practice
Safely accelerate outcomes
Quill provides a powerful set of governance principles as a default for your agents. RevOps can easily configure and customize rules once. Then, agents hit this rules engine consistently to ensure compliance.
create_account({
name: "Acme Corp",
domain: "https://www.acme.com/"
})
Likely duplicate. "Acme Corporation" already exists on domain
acme.com, owned by Dana Reyes, last activity 6 days ago. Your submitted domain also needed normalizing to acme.com. Log the activity against the existing account instead?
update_opportunity({
id: "0064x00000ABcDe",
stage: "Closed Won"
})
Closed Won requires a countersigned SOW. None is attached to this opportunity. Contract value on the record ($84,000) also doesn't match the latest approved quote ($92,400). Attach the SOW and confirm the value, and I'll advance the stage.
log_call({
opportunity: "0064x00000ABcDe",
notes: "Bake-off vs Northwind. Security review
cleared. Legal is the long pole."
})
Call logged. Primary Competitor was empty - set to "Northwind" from the note text and flagged as agent-inferred for RevOps review. Blocker set to "Legal / contracting". No other fields touched.
Rule types
While validation rules and required fields already exist in your CRM, they break down at the edges because they can't reason about intent, read a note, or explain themselves to whoever tripped them. Quill's engine is agentic by nature, enabling powerful reasoning.
Deduplication
Fuzzy-match on name, domain, and hierarchy before a create ever reaches the CRM. Route the agent to the existing record instead.
Stage gates
Require evidence - signed paperwork, approved pricing, a completed security review - before an opportunity can advance.
Field normalization
Coerce free-text into your actual picklist values, standardize domains and phone formats, enforce naming conventions.
Inferred enrichment
Pull structured fields out of the notes an agent was already writing - competitor, blocker, next step, champion - and flag them for review.
Scoped write access
Decide which objects and fields agents may touch at all, by role. Forecast fields stay read-only; activity data stays open.
Full audit trail
Every agent-initiated write, block, and correction is logged with the prompt that caused it. Rules are versioned like code.
Who it's for
Sales teams going AI-native
Quill RevOps MCP extends Quill Data Reliability, our platform for finding and fixing data problems in your systems of record like the CRM. Data Reliability ensures that you're always deploying AI on top of data you can trust. RevOps MCP stops data quality issues in their tracks by providing a governed connector for AI to interact with your CRM.
Compatibility
Standard MCP, so it works where your reps already are
Quill RevOps MCP implements the Model Context Protocol, the open standard for connecting AI assistants to external systems. Any MCP-compatible client can use it - no browser extension, no forked desktop app, nothing installed on a rep's machine.

FAQ
What is Quill RevOps MCP?
Quill RevOps MCP is a governed MCP server that sits between AI assistants and a CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot. Instead of connecting an agent directly to the CRM API, you connect it to Quill, which evaluates every read and write against the data hygiene and governance rules your RevOps team defines - blocking duplicates, enforcing stage gates, normalizing fields, and logging everything.
How is this different from the official Salesforce or HubSpot MCP connector?
The native connectors expose the CRM API more or less as-is. That means an agent sees hundreds of fields - including backend automation fields no human ever touches - with no notion of which ones are authoritative and no enforcement on writes. Quill exposes a curated tool surface with your business rules attached, so the agent is steered toward correct behavior instead of being trusted to guess.
Isn't this what Salesforce validation rules are for?
Validation rules are the right idea and remain in force. They're just too blunt for agent traffic: they can't fuzzy-match a duplicate, can't read a competitor's name out of a call note, can't require a countersigned document, and when they fire they return an error string that tells the agent nothing useful. Quill's rules can reason about the request and reply with an explanation the model can act on.
Does it slow reps down?
It's designed to do the opposite. Most rule hits are resolved by the agent itself in the same turn - it normalizes the domain, or fills in the field it forgot, and the write goes through. The rep only sees friction when a rule genuinely requires a human decision, like producing a signed SOW before a deal can be marked won.
Who writes the rules?
RevOps does, once, centrally. Rules are versioned and auditable, and they apply to every agent in the sales org - so you're not depending on individual reps prompting their assistant correctly.
What happens to our data?
Quill is built for security-conscious companies and regulated industries. Access is scoped to the objects and fields you explicitly permit, and every agent action is logged. Details are on our security page, and we'll walk through the specifics on a call.
Can we use it without buying the rest of Quill?
That's part of what we're figuring out in the beta. It's designed as an extension of Quill Data Reliability, but if a standalone governance layer is what you actually need, say so in the form below - that's exactly the signal we're looking for.
